Consistency in Brand Display & Messaging
Your brand is your businesses identity, it’s a combination of your vision and values, marketing, products and any content you release . It’s what your clients think of when they hear your companies name, it’s what your clients think of when they hear about a product you offer or an article you release. Your brand is everything,
Your brand must scream trust, your brand must be visible and your brand must be consistent.
If your company name is ‘Expert Plumbing Technicians’ and your motto is ‘We are the Experts’ you clearly want to be known for being expert plumbers. In this case, everything a client could potentially see should reflect this message. The question we need to ask is, “Where are people seeing my brand message?” and “If they find my brand message, what is it saying?”
In 2019, the answer to ‘where are people seeing my brand message’ is overwhelming online and most likely via Google search. Even if I see you somewhere offline, before I use your service I’m going to look you up online. If your brand message is silent, non existent or appears unprofessional online, I will not use you. In my searching for your business I will happen across one of your competitors who’s brand I find online and almost certainly use them.
- What is my brand?
- Where are my clients looking for my brand?
- If my clients find my brand, what is it saying to them?
With all of the review websites and consumer blogs out there it has never been more important to have a professional online presence. Is it another cost to your bottom line, most certainly, but so is losing that customer who was looking for you, but ended up with a competitor.
